Copilot in Outlook

2025 - Present

2023 - Present

I’m currently a Principal Design Lead for Copilot in Outlook, owning the Assistance experience across voice and chat. I set vision and drive execution from prototype to launch, aligning leadership, engineering, and partner teams to ship AI-native experiences across platforms. Recent work includes Voice Catch Up and Email Coaching.

Copilot Coaching in Outlook

2024 - 2025

I was the design lead for Coaching by Copilot. The goal was to help people write emails with more confidence, clarity, and empathy, especially in high-stakes moments. The feature became one of the strongest performers in Outlook Copilot, with the highest thumbs-up ratio in Outlook (87%), a 70% kept rate for applied suggestions (highest across all compose features at the time), and 5x higher usage than forecast. We also saw it expand beyond high-stakes emails into everyday writing.

GuestSnap

2023 - Present

GuestSnap is a side project I built with my friend Austin Astorga. Austin leads engineering and I lead design. We built it from scratch into a profitable business that has recouped our investment, converts around 5%, and has served thousands of events.

Beyond product design, I’ve been responsible for our marketing site in Framer, continuously iterating through testing and refinement, including A/B experiments. It’s also been hands-on entrepreneurship, from SEO to customer support.

With AI, my role has evolved from design to builder. I regularly commit code and ship improvements, using Cursor / Conductor with Claude Code and Codex.

Xbox Cloud Gaming

2018-2019

I was a lead designer on the Xbox Game Streaming Preview app, the first product that brought Xbox into cloud streaming. We built it on a tight timeline, working side by side with engineering to ship quickly. I also created foundational design patterns (e.g. controller focus) that later carried across endpoints, and explored ways to make streaming latency feel more forgiving, including concepts like “Play Stories” to reduce time-to-fun.

Xbox Wireless Controller

2018 - 2019

I was a core member of the Xbox Wireless Controller team for the latest generation controller that launched alongside Xbox Series X|S. Working closely with engineering and industrial design, I explored and prototyped new controller experiences across hardware and software, focused on device switching and cloud gaming scenarios. I drove key interaction behaviors end to end, including firmware-level specs for pairing flows and Share button behavior.

Xbox Design Lab

2017 - 2018

Xbox Design Lab is Xbox’s build-to-order controller program. As we expanded it to include more customizable parts and finishes, I led the redesign to create a more robust, scalable customization experience.

My work spanned the homepage, customization flow, product views, and gallery, and it doubled site conversion. I partnered closely with hardware, industrial design, engineering, and marketing, provided art direction for marketing assets, and helped design the E3 booth experience.

Liggi

2013 - 2016

Liggi is an unstealable bike light I created in the Netherlands before I moved into digital product design. I designed and built it in close collaboration with Manuel Oostveen, a friend and fellow industrial designer.

As industrial design students, we pitched the concept directly to Albert Heijn, the largest grocery chain in the Netherlands. We secured manufacturing and investment with Axa Stenman, negotiated a royalty deal, and led the industrial and packaging design end to end. Liggi went on to sell 1M+ units and remained in Albert Heijn stores for over 10 years.
